Review – Falafel King

If you are going to Portobello Market and looking for a fresh, good, inexpensive meal, you cannot do much better than Falafel King.  It is just north of the Westway on Portobello Road near the newer Portobello Fine Foods Market.   A clean spot offering lunch for £3 and up.

Ideal for  a good lunch with outdoor (only) seating.  Ingredients are fresh and made on-site.  Menu offerings are as follows.

1/2 Falafel – £3; Whole Falafel – £5

Freshly Squeezed OJ – £3

Fresh Lemonade – £3

The 1/2 falafel is plenty for me for lunch and an orange juice or lemonade should not  be passed up.  They make the Orange Juice on the counter with a hand-press juicer so it is as fresh as one could get.   It is delicious!

They seem to have quite a local, loyal crowd and I am certain to become another one of the followers.
