Restaurant Review – The Eagle

On a sunny but cold Saturday looking for a good spot in Clerkenwell, we found The Eagle.  Sharing owners with The Anchor & Hope and Great Queen Street, it seemed like a winner.

The Eagle is comfy and cosy.  It is the kind of place to spread out with newspapers for a long lunch or a pint.  The menu is on blackboards and has several good offerings.  The staff are helpful but a bit aloof.

I particularly liked the Cookbook Corner out in full view of the customers.

Reasonable wine list with most bottles less than £20 and many options by the glass.  There were a fair few
